Terms and Conditions

Draft of 5 October 2026. Not yet legally reviewed and not yet in force.

These terms and conditions explain how we work together, from booking and treatment to gift vouchers. We have written them as clearly as we can. If anything is unclear, just ask us.

1. Provider and scope

Onua - Massage & Therapie, Papic
(trading as «Onuā»)
Ansel Papic, owner
Hohlstrasse 481
8048 Zurich
Switzerland
UID/VAT no.: CHE-208.900.730 MWST
Email: info@onua.ch
Phone: +41 43 534 79 74

These terms apply to all treatments at Onuā and to online booking, the customer account, appointment requests (waitlist) and gift vouchers. Other arrangements apply only if we have confirmed them in writing; an email is enough.

2. Our services

We offer massage and complementary therapy in the areas of therapy, sports, wellness and prevention. You will find the content, duration and price of each treatment on our website. Treatments are carried out by our employed therapists. Your contract is always with Onua - Massage & Therapie, Papic, even when you book with a specific person.

Our treatments do not replace a medical examination, diagnosis or treatment. We treat carefully and to the best of our knowledge, but we cannot promise a particular result.

3. Booking and customer account

  • You can book online on our website, by phone or at the practice. Online booking requires a customer account, which you confirm with your email address.
  • When you choose a time online, we hold it for you for 10 minutes so you can complete the booking.
  • The treatment contract is concluded once we confirm your booking. You receive the confirmation by email and see the appointment in your account.
  • Please provide accurate details and keep your login private. We may block an account in case of misuse.
  • You can ask us to delete your account at any time. Legal retention duties, for example for receipts, remain reserved.

4. Prices and payment

  • The prices shown on our website at the time of booking apply. All prices are final prices in Swiss francs (CHF), including any applicable VAT.
  • When booking online, you can pay by card, Apple Pay, Google Pay or TWINT, redeem a gift voucher, or pay at the practice after your treatment (cash, card or TWINT).
  • Online payments by card, Apple Pay and Google Pay are processed by SumUp; online payments with TWINT are processed by Stripe. Only SumUp processes your card details, not us. You confirm a TWINT payment in your TWINT app.
  • If you move an appointment to a treatment with a different price, we settle the difference: we refund any overpayment, and you pay any extra amount online or at the practice.

5. Rescheduling and cancelling

  • You can reschedule or cancel your appointment in your account until the deadline shown in your confirmation and in your account. This is usually 24 hours before the start. After that, please call us on +41 43 534 79 74.
  • If you cancel in time, there is no charge. We refund online payments to the original payment method, and any voucher amount used is credited back to your voucher.
  • If you cancel less than 24 hours before the appointment or do not show up, we have reserved that time for you and usually cannot fill it. We then charge a cancellation fee equal to the price of the booked treatment; if you paid online, we offset it against your payment. If we can rebook the time, there is no charge. If something unforeseeable happens, such as an accident or sudden illness, we will find a fair solution with you. Health and supplementary insurers do not cover this fee.
  • If you arrive late, the treatment still ends at the booked time so the next person does not have to wait. The price stays the same.
  • If we have to cancel an appointment, for example due to illness, we let you know as early as possible and suggest a new time. We refund any amount already paid in full.

6. Appointment requests (waitlist)

  • If no suitable time is free, you can add an appointment request for specific days and times of day while booking. You can see and remove it in your account.
  • When a suitable time frees up, we let you know by email and, if you gave us a mobile number, also by SMS. An appointment request does not entitle you to an appointment.
  • The offered time is not reserved for you. It goes to whoever books it first.
  • An appointment request ends when you book a suitable appointment, when the chosen days have passed or when you remove it.

7. Health and your treatment

  • Before your treatment, please tell us about any complaints, illnesses, injuries, operations, medication, pregnancy or other circumstances that may matter for the treatment. This is the only way we can treat you safely and appropriately.
  • We may adapt, postpone or decline a treatment if there are health reasons against it. If in doubt, we recommend a medical examination.
  • Minors need the consent of a parent or legal guardian for a treatment.
  • We expect respectful behaviour. In case of inappropriate behaviour, we end the treatment immediately and the full price remains due.

8. Health insurance and reimbursement receipts

  • Our certified therapists are members of recognised Swiss professional associations for massage and complementary medicine such as SVBM, EMR, ASCA and VDMS. Many supplementary insurance plans therefore cover part of the costs.
  • Some therapists are still in training and not yet recognised by insurers. We offer their treatments at a reduced price, but cannot issue a reimbursement receipt for them. If in doubt, ask us before booking.
  • Whether and how much your insurer pays depends on your insurance plan and on the recognition of the treating therapist. Please check this with your insurer before your appointment.
  • After your treatment, you receive a reimbursement receipt if the treating therapist is recognised by insurers. You submit the receipt to your insurer yourself.
  • You owe us the treatment price regardless of what your insurer reimburses.

9. Gift vouchers

  • You can buy gift vouchers online for a treatment duration or for an amount between CHF 20 and CHF 500. Payment is processed by SumUp. We then send the voucher as a PDF by email, to you or directly to the recipient.
  • Gift vouchers you buy never expire and can be redeemed for treatments at Onuā, online when booking or at the practice. Vouchers we give away, for example for your birthday, are valid for one year; the expiry date is on the voucher.
  • If the full amount is not used, the remaining balance stays on the voucher. If the voucher does not cover the price, you pay the difference at the practice.
  • Vouchers cannot be exchanged for cash. Anyone with the voucher code can redeem it, so please keep it safe.

10. Messages by email and SMS

We send booking confirmations, reminders, changes and offers for your appointment requests by email. If you gave us a mobile number and allowed SMS, you also receive some of these messages by SMS. We only send marketing such as our newsletter if you have subscribed to it.

11. Liability

  • We are liable for damage we cause intentionally or through gross negligence, and for personal injury in accordance with the law. Liability for slight negligence is excluded to the extent permitted by law.
  • We are not liable for damage that arises because you did not tell us important health information.
  • We accept no liability for valuables or clothing you bring with you.
  • We are not liable for interruptions or disruptions of the website, online booking or third-party services such as SumUp or Stripe, to the extent permitted by law.

12. Data protection

Our privacy policy explains how we process your personal data. We treat information about your health confidentially. When addresses are entered in your account and in our practice software, we use address suggestions from Google; the privacy policy explains the details.

13. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms and will publish the new version on our website. An appointment is governed by the version published when you booked it; a gift voucher by the version in force when you bought it.

14. Applicable law and place of jurisdiction

These terms are governed by Swiss law. The place of jurisdiction is Zurich. Mandatory places of jurisdiction, in particular for consumers, remain reserved.

If any provision of these terms is invalid, the remaining provisions remain valid. These terms are available in German and English; in case of discrepancies, the German version prevails.
